We are looking for a Technology Transformation Java Engineer:

Responsibilities and Duties:

- As the Principal Engineer, in collaboration with our Program Manager, Technical Platform Owners and the Enterprise Architects you will assist the planning, steering, and control of our multi-year IT Transformation program, focusing on the technological and cloud architecture perspectives;
- You will design the strategic technical program roadmap and the program's technical blueprint, in coordination with all stakeholders, architecture team and platform teams;
- Drive the design and implementation of cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance in cloud environments;
- Lead proof of concepts (POCs) on new technologies, assessing their potential benefits and guiding their integration into the existing ecosystem;
- You will support the overall governance, including the review and approval of major concepts and interface designs, ensuring compliance with the reference architecture, cloud best practices, and corporate architecture and technology standards;
- Champion innovation by staying updated with the latest technological trends, proposing new solutions and strategies that can benefit the organization;
- You will ensure that technical decisions align with the broader organizational goals by supporting communications across all program members and relevant stakeholders.

What we need
- Computer science degree or equivalent;
- Extensive professional experience (>5 years) as Senior/Principal Engineer, Software Architect, or Technical Leader;
- Proven experience in designing and deploying solutions in cloud environments on AWS, with a deep knowledge of
cloud design patterns and best practices;
- Demonstrated expertise in IT transformation projects, including IT process modernization, transitioning from
monolithic architectures to microservices, and gradual migration from on-premise to cloud environments;
- Experience with Java, SpringBoot, AWS, API Management, and related technologies;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to evangelize new technologies and methodologies
to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Experience mentoring junior engineers - or a strong desire to be a mentor - is a plus;
- You are a genuine team player with a passion for pushing the boundaries of what's possible;
- A deep working knowledge of English is required.

- Worktime flexibility: The work regime is hybrid and after the first month you will be in the office between 1 and 2 days a month. In the first few months the frequency is higher, around once a week in the first month. It is very important to be physically present at the technical interview and on the first day of work. The working regime is a very flexible hybrid, starting at 20% face-to-face and rising to 5% over the course of the months.
